I started college in September 2024, embarking on the journey to become a fully qualified hairdresser. However, with the financial demands of student life, I found myself unable to afford regular visits to the salon. Determined not to let this setback hinder my passion, I decided to take control of my own hair care. I began experimenting with cutting my own hair, learning techniques through practice and online tutorials. Additionally, I took on the challenge of dyeing my hair, exploring different colors and methods. This self-taught approach not only saved me money but also deepened my understanding of hairdressing. It allowed me to develop my skills and creativity in a practical, real-world context, giving me an early start in honing the expertise needed for my future career.
